Papermaking.
Below are two examples of paper I had the opportunity of making at Teachers College, Columbia University, as a community printmaking student in 2024. I hope to include this new skill in my future work.

Set 1
Recycled paper, various sizes, 2024
I made this paper from scraps I collected from "Death Valley Spring 2022" and other projects, along with spin art, rose petals, additional plant scraps, and old assignments. This was my first time experiencing the whole process of making paper from old paper, and it inspired me to experiment with different materials and shapes.

Set 2
Recycled paper, various sizes, 2024
Here is the next set of paper I created. For weeks, I had been pondering how paper made from old magazines would fare, as "Pressed in Pink" left me with a lot of crusty painted-on pages of Vogue and various teen magazines from the 2010s. The verdict is a very smooth gray paper that works well with markers.
