Pressed in Pink
Linocut & gel print, paper, acrylic paint, ink, 10.75in x 8.75in, 2024
"Pressed in Pink" is a series of prints criticizing society's beauty standards for women. The background of each piece is a unique gel print made from Vogue and teen fashion magazines. Bodies are not one size fits all standard puzzle pieces, but it can be difficult to fit in when your body doesn't match the ideal standard. Every day we are fed ad after ad of fit, predominantly light skin models. We are being told how we should look if we want to be treated well. Not only does everyone deserve to feel beautiful in their body, but there should be no societal rules deeming how our bodies should appear and whether we are worthy of common decency.

This is Not Cool
Linocut on paper, 9.5 x 12.5 in, 2023
This linocut is an abstract rendition of permafrost lakes, made to spread awareness of the effects of Climate Change on arctic regions. As the earth warms and the ground is exposed, permafrost begins to melt until lakes form and collide with one another. Once permafrost is gone, there’s no getting it back. If global changes are not made, more land and ecosystems will be lost. This is Not Cool.
